Regional Sales Representative (Eastern)

Our Client  a growing company focused on delivering innovative agricultural products to Kenya's farmers dealing with a hermetic grains storage bag is seeking to employ a Regional Sales Representative.

The firm aim this year is to grow rapidly in several counties of the Eastern (Meru, Embu, Kirinyaga, Nyeri and Nanyuki) then adding additional products through the sales channels and customer base. 


Position:                      Regional Sales Representative

Reports to:                 Sales Manager,


Duties and Responsibilities

1. Identify and meet with decision-makers within major Agro Dealers, Cooperatives, MFI's, and government extension offices to introduce product

2. Conduct or organize promotions at points-of-sale, trade fairs, field days, etc.

3. Identify leads and qualify clients

4. Close Sales, and work with Nairobi office to ensure the set targets are achieved.

5. Maintain consistent communication with each client

6. Train retail staff of partners on the products’ KSP’s

7. Ensure collection of payment and customer data from participating dealers

8. Recruit, select and supervise mobilizers/trainers as necessary

9. Plan own activities in coordination with the rest of the sales team to meet individual and team targets.



1. Able to negotiate deals and close sales in the preferred region MERU, EMBU, NANYUKI, part of Nyeri and Kirinyaga.

2. 1-3 years’ experience in sales and marketing preferred, business management or agricultural experience also a plus

3. Diploma or degree in business management, sales and marketing, or agricultural field preferred

4. High reliability and integrity

5. Self-starter, able to function with minimal supervision

6. Able to supervise and motivate others

7. Able to understand and implement business systems

8. Able to travel within the region assigned, including by public means



A guiding target compensation of 30k  plus a generous performance-based package commissions.
