Sales Technicians - IT

Our client a firm engaged in technical security system and equipment is seeking to recruit sales Technicians with a the specific qualifications and technical background who will initially be hired as sales apprentices before being fully employed.


Job description

a. Ensure business growth from the respective business sources by marketing company products to various target markets and maximize the client potential in designated regions

b. Conduct site visits to identify prospective clients security needs

c. Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs as a sales process

d. Interpret clients' needs and offer solutions that best match their requirements and build lasting relationships.

e. Issuance of quotations to clients within the set timelines and ensure approval by respective authorized persons.

f. Persuade clients and prospects that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.

g. Provide pre-sales technical assistance, product insights and ensure product installation complies to global best practices.

h. Provide after-sales support services and technical back up as stipulated in the maintenance contracts.

i. Research and advise the management on current market sales trends, new products and competition.

i. Support sales projects by participating in boardroom meetings with prospects clients to achieve the sales targets.

j. Support marketing activities by participating in trainings, exhibitions and setting up of demo equipment.

k. Liaise with other members of staff and other technical experts to drive business.

l. Participate in design and development of in-house-made products

m. Team participation in resolving technical challenges at various levels.

n. Participate in tenders and advise the team on the best technical solutions that match the tender requirements.

o. Update the management on pertinent clients' feedback and concerns so as to enable management institute appropriate mitigating factors.

p. Product research & testing to enhance product knowledge

q. Installation & implementation of solutions.



a} Diploma in Information technology

b} Two years' experience in a related field, preferably structured cabling, IT networking and installation of security systems.

c} Experience in installation of security products is an added advantage



1. A solid technical background in IT networking

2. Demonstrate sales skills, passion and being self-driven

3. Effective communication skills with sound judgment and good business sense

4. Demonstrate organizational skills

5. Team working capability and excellent interpersonal skills

6. Results oriented, analytical and problem-solving skills
