Our client a top security company located in Karen Nairobi providing professional security services, systems and products (including Paradox Security Products, Aiphone Communication Systems, Commax SmartHome & Security, Garrison Advanced Security Products & Beams, Power Kingdom No Leakage Sealed Lead Acid Batteries, HYT Two-Way Radios, Longhorn Security Accessories) and Specialist Suppliers of Spectrum Communications intend to employ an In-House Technician.


Role Summary:

To install, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, or related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.



On engagement the best candidate will be trained on the following

a. Intruder alarms (Texecom & Paradox), 

b. Control room equipment,

c. Intercoms & Sherlotronics,

d. Biometric access control,

e. Time management systems,

f. Controllers,

g. CCTV & Intelligent video analysis,

h. Centurion, Gate automation,

i. Intercoms & Sherlotronics,

 k. Two- way radios (Hytera)



1. Install security electrical components, equipment, or systems and Intrusion hardware cabling and other forms of cabling.

2. Testing of installed equipment and provide basic programming, such as, adding card readers, cameras and alarm points to any system.

3. Inspect equipment to locate or identify electrical problems and assist in performing preventive maintenance and repair as per a client maintenance agreement and/or warranty.

4. Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing systems and/or equipment.

5. To participate in an on-call rotation schedule available to answer client calls after normal working hours and on weekend/holidays depending on the rotation order.

6. Responsible for updating team lead on the status of all work performed on a daily basis.

7. Notify team lead daily of any materials needed to complete duties.

8. Perform additional Security Technician and related functions as assigned by the team lead and deemed within the general skill and ability level of a productive Security Technician in the industry.


Requirement and necessary qualities

1. Must have 1-2 years practical experience with installation security system and products.

2. A degree or diploma in electrical engineering, electronics, IT or any other relevant field.

3. Willingness to be trained and adaptable to the changing security technology

4. Electrical engineering background (From a polytechnic)

5. Self- driven person with an inquisitive mind

6. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and follow through

7. Maintain client privacy and personal professionalism at all times.

8. Commitment toward a common goal of customer satisfaction and service

9. Ability to deliver the highest level of service and quality

10. Ability to enhance security systems with the art of technology

11. Organizational, analytical skills problem solver and a team player



A starting salary of Kes 30,000 – 35,000.00 will be offered to the best candidate during training and enhanced thereafter.
