Sales Manager Position – Construction (Hardware) Items (Re-advertised): Deadline: 25/10/2020

We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to help our client (a dealer in construction tools, equipment’s and chemicals – Hardware Items) to meet customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth targets by keeping the company competitive and innovative through an aggressive sales team.


Job summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximizing a sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those plans to the upper management with a focus of meeting and exceeding the sales objectives.


  1. Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  2. Achieving growth and exceeding sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  3. Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence
  4. To analyze current sales figures, develop effective sales techniques to boost the figures, and train the sales team on the new sales methods and strategies.
  5. Coordinate and lead all regular sales meetings with the sales staff
  6. Manage a CRM platform to retain customers and seek out new prospective sales
  7. Maintain a strong focus on the satisfaction of all customers through the client interactions and sales force feedback.
  8. Compile regular reports for dealership management to review


The candidate:

  1. Must have at least a degree in business or related fields preferably in sales & marketing .
  2. Must have held a sales supervisor or sales manager position consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  3. Proven knowledge of effective sales strategies and best practices with at least five years successful technical sales management experience in construction equipment’s, chemicals and tools.
  4. Proven ability to drive the sales process in construction industry ( Hardware items ) from plan, close and after sales services coupled with an impressive track record of closing deals and retaining customers.
  5. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  6. Outstanding leadership, organizational and Interpersonal skills with an outgoing and service-oriented attitude.
  7. Excellent training, mentoring, coaching and people management skills



A salary of Kshs 100,000.00 plus commissions
