Our client a food product processing and distribution company is seeking to recruit qualified, self-driven, innovative, energetic and go getter flour trade promotion officers.

Summary

The role holder should be able to appoint new distributors & wholesalers, manage existing clients and ensure revenue targets are met.

Responsibilities

  1. Recruit and manage new Distributors, Agents and Retail outlets
  2. Achieve high customer satisfaction and grow sales volumes, market share and stock building.
  3. Build and strengthen a working relationship with Distributors and 2nd Level customers
  4. Route map all customers including and accompany this with contact and location details. Route formalization, coverage, planning and management.
  5. Implement all the distribution plans, programs and concepts as well as the Route to Market retail execution program as directed by the Sales Supervisor.
  6. Monitor and report on market intelligence with a view to evaluate company position in relation to competitor activities and recommend remedial measures to the management.
  7. Implement marketing and promotional activities as directed by the Sales Supervisors within agreed budgets and timelines and integrate sales assignments with organized marketing support activities e.g. new product launches, sales promotions and advertising.
  8. Implement and maintain the company’s promotional and merchandising programs
  9. Communicate company business terms to customers and ensure all Company credit policies and procedures are adhered to by all the appointed Distributors, Agents and Retail outlets.
  10. Train all junior staff (Distributors, Agents and Distributor Delivery Salesmen, merchandisers, and warehouse staff) on Company’s products attributes, product handling, FIFO, merchandising standards, POS placement and management, product re-order levels.

Qualifications

  1. Must have attained KCSE level of education or training in marketing, promotions and advertising sales.
  2. 3-4 years of industry sales experience preferably maize meal sales.
  3. Ability to demonstrate and use creative methods to present the products;
  4. Self-motivated, pleasant, enthusiastic, outgoing and friendly personality;
  5. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills;
  6. Ability to meet or exceed stipulated targets as allocated;
  7. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  8. Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
  9. Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment.
  10. Should have good negotiation skills

Remuneration

Best candidates will be compensated with attractive commissions and awards
